1. What is the Business Builder Programme?

Business Builder is a powerful programme of support, advice and hands on help that will show you how to make your marketing work.

If you’re frustrated at a lack of results from your marketing and advertising; if you can see wastage in the money you spend trying to promote your business, then the Business Builder Programme will give you the tools to attract and educate new clients, convert more sales, and maximise your profits – and the skills to use them.

It starts with a focused Action Plan session which can be done either face-to-face at our offices, or over the telephone. During the session we’ll identify your goals for the business, examine any marketing you’ve done in the past, and discuss the challenges you face. From there we’ll decide which areas of marketing to focus on, test and measure to get you the best return on your investment.

Throughout the programme, you’ll continue to test, measure and refine your marketing under our expert guidance until you have a marketing system in place that is reliable, repeatable and profitable.

Most importantly, it’s not something that will make a difference to your business simply because you become a member. To get the most out of it, you’ll need to invest time and effort into working with us to create, test and implement your marketing. That might include writing copy, making changes to your website, even filling envelopes and posting letters. Of course, we’ll be there to give you expert guidance along the way, and we’ll help you by writing copy for that crucial web page, or killer sales letter where only professional copy will do.

2. How much is it?

Membership of the Business Builder Programme begins at an investment of just £3600 plus VAT per year.

We ask our members to commit at least one full year to the programme because, whilst we’ll certainly look for “quick win” activities that can get you a fast return on your investment, the Business Builder Programme is designed to reward medium to long term efforts in creating, implementing, testing and measuring your marketing by delivering a sustainable, reliable marketing system that you will be able to use for years to come.

For that reason, as well as the financial investment, you will need to commit time and effort to working with us to identify the most successful marketing activities for your business.

3. What do I get?

First and foremost, you’ll get the very best marketing advice available. You’ll learn what to do, and what not to do, to make your marketing work for you, and you’ll identify areas of wastage that, when cut, will help boost your profits even further.

Through our years of creating and implementing practical, “no cost / low cost” marketing for businesses in virtually every market sector, we’ve built up a wealth of first-hand experience that means you can get a head start in your marketing.

Then, you’ll get invaluable practical help, from a team of professional marketers, copywriters, online marketing experts, designers and web developers. Whilst we can’t “do it all” for you, you can have critical pieces professionally written for you, giving you the perfect springboard from which to launch your own efforts – and we’ll be on hand to critique and make recommendations on everything you create to help you get the best possible results.

But it doesn't end there!

As a Business Builder member, you’ll have access to our flagship website, Marketing Help Online, where you’ll find case studies, worked examples, videos and audio segments, giving you an exclusive insight into all aspects of marketing your business, from advertising and direct mail to answering the phones and the “proper” way to handle a brochure request. It’s an inspirational resource that our existing members value highly.

Finally, you’ll get the benefit of having someone who’s not engrossed in the day-to-day running of your company, driving you to get your marketing spot on; and get it in place, doing its job. 4. What will I need to do?

In our Rules of Engagement you’ll see exactly what it takes to get the most out of your own Business Builder Programme. In brief, you need to be:

  • Willing to test different marketing techniques
  • Willing to measure the results
  • Prepared to implement and systemise
  • Excited about the potential for your business

If you’re prepared to look at marketing in a new way (we’re not radical, or “off the wall”, but we do turn a lot of traditional “advertising truth” on its head), then roll your sleeves up and get stuck in: you’ll be rewarded with a marketing system you can rely on for years to come.

5. How much time do I get each month?

You’ll have unlimited access to a team of professional marketing advisors. How much time we actually spend working together in any month will depend on the marketing we’re working on at the time.

6. What will we get done in the first 3 months?

Every member’s programme is different, and depending on your aims, some activities may be more appropriate than others in the early stages.

We’ll always endeavour to identify some “quick win” opportunities that you can implement and test right away. That might be some tactical changes to your website; a direct mail campaign, referral programme, or creating some Pay-Per-Click advertising.

But it’s important to see the Business Builder Programme as an investment in developing an efficient, effective marketing system that will last you long into the future. Spending time at the outset making sure you have the right tools in place will pay dividends in the long run.

7. What if I need more help?

For many of our members there comes a time when creating a particular piece of marketing is either too time-consuming, or requires additional expert input.

We regularly undertake “Special Projects” for our members, which for an additional investment give them the opportunity to fast track particular marketing strategies. 

Whether it’s having additional copy written for a direct mail campaign, a flyer or brochure professionally designed to convey the perfect image of your company, or even a new website being built, you’ll be able to call on our team to deliver you outstanding results that save you time, save you money, and give your marketing the power to really succeed.

8. “I’ve already tried marketing and advertising my business and it hasn’t worked; what can you do for me?”

If you’re already advertising, and not seeing the results you think you should be, there could be several reasons.

Perhaps you’re not targeting the right audience. Maybe your message is not clear, and your prospects don’t understand the value in dealing with you.

Or it could be that your ads aren’t giving out a consistent message that builds trust and familiarity with your audience, helping to allay their concerns and nurture them towards doing business.

9. What if I already have someone doing my marketing?

Typically our Business Builder members are small to medium sized businesses that don’t have their own marketing department; and that’s one of the reasons they call on us.

However, some members do have their own marketing teams, and others have just one person who’s historically “done their advertising”.
